Welcome to our home!
From the grounds of our own home, we offer exclusive venue rental for your special event.
Our home has always been a gathering place for family and friends. We moved to Seaman House in 2006, but have been part of the local community for more than 30 years. The house itself was built in 1857 and is made of granite quarried from the property. As a family of builders, gardeners and hospitality professionals it came naturally that we converted the 100-year old barn to provide ourselves with more space to host parties, and since then it has become a hub for shindigs, big and small.
Beautiful in all seasons, The Barn is nestled against a natural granite waterfall at the edge of the woods, overlooking our gardens and pond. Restored and decorated with reclaimed materials and rustic features, The Barn accommodates 100 people seated across two levels, with plenty of additional space outside.
The Barn
We offer you the freedom to plan the party of your dreams. Our vision for The Barn is to allow you the flexibility to use whichever vendors, suppliers and services you'd like, to suit your occasion, without unnecessary restrictions or rules. You have exclusive use of the space for the whole weekend - lots of time to celebrate!
You'll find a bar downstairs with a cosy woodstove for the winter months and accessible restrooms. The Barn's professional kitchen is a caterer's dream, with easy access, storage and state of the art appliances. The rustic dining room upstairs opens out to the Porch and lawns at the back, and offers a Bridal Suite with private bathroom.
Set within tranquil surroundings, you'll find a waterfall, pond, extensive gardens and well-kept lawns, perfect for photo opportunities, games, marquees, camping and a variety of places for you and your guests to enjoy the outdoors.
Not just for weddings, The Barn is perfectly suited to dinner parties, birthday gatherings, corporate away-days, photoshoot locations and fundraising events.
